Building AI-driven products today is a complex and fragmented.

We've been talking to dev teams including our 3 pilot partners; we have learned that when it comes to AI, dev teams are stuck gluing together vector DBs, chunkers, enrichment tools, and LLMs. It’s fragile, slow, and expensive. Most teams give up—or ship something that breaks.

We fix this, the way Supabase fixed web development.

Supabase bundled the web stack into one usable system.

We’re doing the same for AI: vector search, RAG, fine-tuning, and function calling—all in one backend.

Others only solve one piece.

LlamaIndex handles document parsing, LangChain does orchestration, Unstructred.io does data ingestion, Pinecone, Weaviate are vector DBs. Dev teams still need to wire it all together—and keep it working.

That gives us an edge in a massive market; developer spend on AI tools will pass $50B by 2028¹. Supabase hit $2B without touching AI. We’re going after a bigger wave—still early, and wide open.

Supabase was backend-as-a-service.

Unbody is brain-as-a-service.

The next generation of software won’t just store and retrieve—it will perceive, reason, and act. For that, we can not rely on just a backend—we need a brain.

We’re building for the post-CRUD world.

Data is dead. Context is the new primitive.

If Supabase is for databases, Unbody is for context.

We go in now, solve the immediate problems (e.g; RAG, function calling, etc), establish product–market fit, but more importantly, we will keep building the foundation for when the big shift happens.
